We chose to do an acrostic poem about Auckland, we used our alphabet to give us some ideas. Here is the acrostic poem Mr Bainbridge did for Auckland.

Arriving from overseas, the first city to reach

Undersea adventures just minutes from the beach

Craters of volcanoes lying dormant, asleep

Kaleidoscope of colours decorate the parks and streets

Learning about the past from those who have gone before

Awesome soaring towers pierce the sky

New experiences easily had

Diverse people adding variety and spice
