Is Cultural Diversity good for Auckland?

To help answer their big inquiry question of "What might happen to Auckland in the future if there was little or no cultural diversity?" Group 4 made a prediction.

If Auckland had little cultural diversity it would be a very boring city to live or visit. Everyone would have the same cultural background, eat the same food, wear the same clothes and do the same activities.

Although a lack of cultural diversity doesn’t affect your ability to go to the beach, fish or go to the movies it does stop you from experiencing different and exciting cultural festivals like Pasifika or eating exotic foods.

Auckland with little cultural diversity would mean fewer restaurants serving food from places such as Mexico, Italy, India and China. Without cultural diversity people would have to eat the same food every day like fish and chips.

Overall we believe that Auckland is a better city to live and visit because of its cultural diversity
